Campbeltown Sailing ClubSailing

Campbeltown Sailing Club was founded in 1958 and have an active membership owning a total of 23 yachts. They are a combined keelboat and dinghy club and are always pleased to welcome any visitors.

Mull of Kintyre SeatoursSeatours

Mull of Kintyre Seatours are based in Campbeltown from where they run regular wildlife trips to Sanda Island, Ailsa Craig and the Mull of Kintyre.

Springbank

Springbank is a unique distillery and a must see as it is the only entirely self-contained distillery in Scotland.

Golf

Machrihanish Golf Club

The Machrihanish Golf Course, situated on the Kintyre Peninsula is well known throughout the world as a first class natural links course.

Machrihanish Dunes is situated at the Southwest corner of the Mull of Kintyre. Opened in July 2009, it is the first 18 hole links golf course to be built on the west coast of Scotland in 100 years.

Other golf courses to enjoy are: Dunaverty Golf Club and Carradale Golf Club.

Davaar IslandDavvar Island

Looking out over Campbeltown Loch you will find Davvar Island which can be accessed at low tide. Davvar has a number of sea caves, one of which has the famous crucifixion painting, painted in 1887 by Archibald MacKinnon.

Scottish Owl CentreBirdwatching

The Scottish Owl Centre is home to the largest collection of owls open to theĀ  public in Scotland and the Machrihanish Seabird and Wildlife Observatory is an unparallelled wildlife experience for birdwatching.

Machrihanish BeachBeaches

Campbeltown has many beaches ranging from golden sand to isolated coves to the fast paced shores of the Atlantic. A surfer’s paradise!

Kintyre Way

Opened in August 2006 and stretching from Tarbert at the north end of the peninsula to Southend in the south, the way-marked Kintyre Way criss-crosses the peninsula, connecting communities and landscape, people and produce. 140km (87 miles) long in total and with 4 to 7 days worth of walking, there is serious hiking and gentle rambles, all of which bring home the beautiful reality that is Kintyre.
